How do I join Bethlehem Lutheran Church?

Bethlehem welcomes new members twice a year. Please contact the church office at 507.388.2925 or blchurch@hickorytech.net to be added to our records as a potential member. Provide your name, address, phone number, email address, and the names of all members of your household.

How do I register my children for Sunday School?

Bethlehem has two Sunday School programs:

• LIGHT (Rotation Sunday School for 3 year olds - 6th grade)
• The Connection (our youth program for 7th -12th grades)

We encourage you to attend Rally Sunday, usually the first Sunday in September, to register your child. At any time during the year (September through May), your child is welcome to attend class during the education hour, 9:30 – 10:30 am on Sundays. Download a registration form here.

What is Milestone Ministry?

Through the Milestone Ministry, Bethlehem recognizes the milestones for each age group, from baptism through college, with special blessings during church services as well as other special activities. Read more information here. Questions can be directed to Vee Williams at 507.387.5154.

How do I register my child for confirmation?

Bethlehem Lutheran Church begins its three-year confirmation program with 7th graders. Questions can be directed to Lance Quick at 507.388.2925 or lquick@hickorytech.net. We use the “Here We Stand” program from Augsburg Fortress.

How do I register my children for Vacation Bible School?

Vacation Bible School for 2008 will be held Sunday, August 3 through Thursday, August 7 from 6 pm – 8 pm. Children 3 years old through 5th grade can attend. What Bible study groups do you have?

Bible study groups meet at the following times:

Every Tuesday: 7 am at Dunn Brothers in North Mankato and Noon at 101 Main, Holiday Inn

The 2nd and 4th Wednesdays: 3:30 - 5 pm at the church.

How do I schedule a baptism?

Bethlehem will conduct baptisms for members or for families who intend to join Bethlehem. Contact the church office at 507.388.2925 or blchurch@hickorytech.net at least a month before the desired baptism date. Provide your name, address, phone number, email address, your child’s full name, date of birth, place of birth, the names of your sponsors, and the desired baptism date.

How do I schedule a wedding?

Bethlehem will conduct weddings for members or for couples who intend to join Bethlehem. Contact the church office at 507.388.2925 or blchurch@hickorytech.net at least a year before the desired wedding date. Provide your names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and the desired wedding date.

How do I make arrangements for a funeral?

Funeral arrangements are usually made through the mortuary.

How do I reserve a room for a meeting or reception?

Bethlehem rents meeting or reception rooms to its members and to non profit groups only. The cost is $20 per hour. Contact the church office at 507.388.2925 to check the church calendar. Bethlehem will make every attempt to honor your reservation. However, changes may have to be made in the event a funeral is scheduled on the same day.

How do I sign up for a church event?

Check the web page for the event for a registration form. If there is no form, please email the church office at blchurch@hickorytech.net.

What are the Wednesday Supper menus?

Wednesday suppers are served from 5 - 6:30 pm from mid-September through mid-May. The cost is $3 for adults; $2 for children; and $10 maximum for families. For menus during the school year, click here.
