Confirmation

Our Confirmation classes for 7th, 8th and 9th graders meet Wednesday night (September through May).

We use the Here We Stand Confirmation program from Augsburg Fortress. This program is unique in that it has a student Web site that allows students from all over the country to visit about faith issues. Students are confirmed in the fall of their 10th grade year.

Students gather for a large group presentation led by the pastors and/or the lay ministry team, then split off into small groups of 3-5 students for guided discussion. Other parts of the program include fellowship, servant projects, intergenerational mentoring, and worship. Students work in these areas by meeting in their small groups or in larger groups designed for maximum participation and/or learning.
